I’m a political science major with a passion for understanding how pop culture and politics influence each other. As a first-generation Peruvian American from Indiana, I’ve grown up surrounded by different cultural narratives, and that’s sparked my interest in how society changes through fashion, music, and art. I truly believe there’s a powerful connection between popular culture and political movements, especially when it comes to how women express themselves no matter what’s going on in the world. Whether it’s through style or sound, I want to explore how women can use these outlets to feel empowered and find their voice.

Right now, I’m on the pre-law track, with hopes of using what I’ve learned to advocate for policies that encourage creative freedom and equality. Studying political science has helped me understand how the political climate affects what we see in pop culture—and vice versa. I’m particularly focused on how women can take control of their own narratives, using fashion and music as tools for expression, even in challenging times.

When I’m not studying or writing, you’ll find me traveling. I love experiencing new places and cultures, and I think it really shapes how I see the world and what I want to do with my career. Whether it’s traveling or learning, I’m always looking for ways to grow and connect with the world around me.
