Mélaurie Pelland

Name pronounced Mel-o-ree

Her Campus uOttawa francophone representative and events team member. I joined the team because I wanted to have more experience both for fun and for future opportunities. Her Campus really aligned with my interests and what is important to me.

I'm in my first year of my B.A with Joint honours in Psychology and Linguistics. I tried going to Cégep for two years, but realized it was way too vague for me. I did 4 out of my 5 years of high school in the visual arts program.

I'm 19, turning 20 in March (ew) I use she/they pronouns and I am from Québec. I speak French and English, as well as a little bit of Spanish. I am also learning Korean. I love music, art and food. When I'm done with my undergrad, I want to get a master's (not sure which one yet) and teach English abroad in Korea ideally. Fun fact about me: I almost participated in La Voix, the quebecois version of The Voice, but I had to back out because I wouldn't have been able to add that to my schedule with uni.
