My name is Mehak Verma, and I am a senior majoring in Biochemistry at the University of Illinois Chicago! I am a commuter student and take the train to school, so that gives me the chance to spend more time in the city during my breaks, and I enjoy exploring Chicago whenever I can. I like finding new restaurants, coffee shops, and places to visit! In my free time, I love to read. My favorite genre is mystery and thriller. The most recent book I have read is called The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Reading gives me a nice, well-needed break from school, and this book specifically made me feel like I was solving the case with them. As a writer for Her Campus, I want to be a part of a community that supports college women.
