My name is Medha and I am a senior studying Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a minor in Creative Writing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My interdisciplinary studies have taught me how much I adore all forms of writing. My biggest goal is to be a published author. I want to use my voice to contribute to discourses and address issues I’m passionate about. I’ve been fortunate enough to have my shorter pieces published to news websites like the Massachusetts Daily Collegian or on their way to being published to blog websites.
I completed an internship in the Summer of 2024, which allowed me to strengthen my writing and editing skills. I have also worked as a staff member at the Stonewall Center for much of my college career, where I’ve helped improve our online resources so visitors can find what they need. My team and I collaborate to organize events and bring our diverse community together.
I grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, close to my town’s library where I still fill my tote bag with books whenever I get the chance. I enjoy dancing, music, exploring Boston, and birdwatching on a nearby trail in my hometown.
