Mayerlie Rodriguez is a writer for Her Campus at UPRM, where she loves writing about culture, student life, entertainment, and the random things that make everyday life interesting. She enjoys turning her own experiences into stories and finding the fun, weird, or meaningful side of just about anything.
She is currently a fifth-year English student at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, focusing on Linguistics with a minor in Writing and Communications. Her interests range from journalism and storytelling to language, culture, and learning about people from different backgrounds. She hopes to pursue a career in investigative and cultural journalism.
When she’s not writing, Mayerlie is probably planning her next trip, watching a movie, trying a new restaurant, listening to music, playing sports, or convincing herself she absolutely needs to buy something she saw while shopping. She also loves discovering new places, meeting people from different cultures, and collecting stories along the way.
