I am currently a business student with a concentration in marketing and entrepreneurship, but more than anything, I am someone who is passionate about creativity and building things from the ground up. I am specifically interested in how brands are able to connect with consumers in ways that feel organic and not forced. While I have learned through my classes the more technical aspects of marketing, such as consumer behavior and data analysis, I have found that I am more interested when I am actually creating and building, and seeing what works and what doesn’t.
This is part of the reason I started Craved, my online resale business. While it started as something small, I have found that I am able to use it as a space to experiment with branding and creating, and I have found that there is power in storytelling when it comes to selling and creating connections with consumers. Additionally, my work with The Vault Collective has given me the opportunity to work with social media and be part of a brand, and I have found that it has pushed me to be more creative and think more strategically.
Outside of school and work, I try to pay a lot of attention to trends in fashion, media, and technology, not just what’s trending but what’s trending and why. I’m just a sucker for aesthetics, brands, and how a small change can completely flip something on its head. I hope to continue building my business but also build a career in marketing and brand strategy, where I can use creativity to make brands actually stand out.
