Maya Phillips is a new Staff Writer at Her Campus's Florida State University Elite Chapter. She writes on various topics, including Lifestyle, Culture, and Campus Life.
Beyond her work as a Staff Writer, Maya is a member of the Honors Program and HSA, and has worked as a Committee member on the Women's History Month Committee of FSU's Women Student Union. She is currently a sophomore, and as a freshman was a part of the Student Government Association's Diversity & Inclusion Institute as a member of the Spring 2026 Cohort
In her free time, Maya loves to read, and her favorite genres are Magical Realism and Historical Fiction. She is also an artist, and has published several works throughout high school and college. She loves to pass time writing for pleasure, listening to music, and trying new matcha spots with her friends. Maya's ideal set-up for writing her articles is at a cozy cafe on a rainy day, and her personal favorites in Tallahassee are Vice Society and Black Dog Café!
