Mary Kate is a freshman studying journalism at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.  She is originally from the cold and snowy East Coast, so she completely appreciates the warmer Southern California weather and ocean views from her school.  After earning her degree she hopes to attend graduate school and pursue a career in magazine journalism in Los Angeles or New York.  She enjoys traveling the world, chai lattes, and shopping for things she does not really need.  She is also a Campus Trendsetter for Her Campus Media.  Mary Kate is looking forward to participating in her university's Greek programs, contributing to her school's magazine, and donating her time to nonprofit organizations.
