I am currently a third year sociology student at the University of Exeter, looking to develop my journalistic skills and writing to aid in my exploration of our current cultural context. I've taken modules that fully embrace this including: the sociology of imprisonment, contemporary society and media and society.
As someone who spends a significant amount of time using social media, it particularly interests me looking at the behaviours of individuals on these platforms and the concepts that originate. I also particularly enjoy exploring consumption patterns within individuals and generations as a direct result of being 'chronically online'.
