Mariana Isabel is a writer at Her Campus at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, where she writes about books, interviews, lifestyle, and student life. She loves writing about the things that make college feel exciting, whether that’s a book she can’t stop thinking about, a hidden spot near campus, or a conversation with someone. Through her writing, she hopes to create articles that feel relatable or interesting.
Beyond Her Campus, Mariana is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications with a focus in Journalism. Through her classes, she has learned a lot about journalistic writing and the history of journalism which has helped her become more careful with her words and more aware of the responsibility that comes with telling other people’s stories.
Outside of being a writer, Mariana is a passionate reader and proud “book girlie” who loves annotating novels and discussing her favorite romance tropes. She also enjoys dance, talking, animals, chocolate, and learning new things. When she’s not working on her next article or studying, you’ll probably find her at the movies watching the latest release.
