Maria is a first-year editor for FIU's Her Campus chapter. She is a sophomore majoring in Communications. She plans to go to graduate school and work as a book editor after graduating.
Born in Venezuela, she moved to Miami at nine years old and subsequently taught herself English. This fostered a deep love and understanding for the language, which is how her passion for becoming an editor was born.
In her free time, Maria enjoys reading, writing, yoga, hanging out with friends, and video editing.
