My name is Mari, and I am going into my third year here at the University of Florida. I am majoring in Psychology, which initially drew my interest when learning about people and how they behave in certain ways. Currently, I am considering adding a minor, but I haven’t decided yet. I am originally from Brazil, but I grew up in Orlando, so I’ve had the best of both worlds when it comes to culture and interactions.
One thing that I love about going to school at UF is its convenience. It's a close drive home whenever I miss my family, which makes balancing college life and staying connected to my roots so easy. When I’m not studying, some things I like to do include going out in nature and relaxing, especially going to the beach. I have also recently picked up playing pickleball, which has created a new way to meet new people.
I love spending quality time with my friends, whether it's a dinner out or simply doing my homework in the living room with my roommates! Those moments are what make college feel like home. I love turning everyday activities, such as grocery shopping, into opportunities for laughter and companionship.
