Hola! My name is Marbella Mendez-Diaz and I am a sophomore transfer at UIUC. I transferred from my local community college in Southern Illinois named Rend Lake College. My major is Political Science with a concentration in international relations. I recently added an Economics minor!
Academically, I have to become an attorney with specialization in immigration or human rights. I really enjoy school and try to be involved as much as I can. I have joined various clubs that make UIUC make slightly smaller
Outside of school, I really enjoy volunteering, musicals, and film media. Volunteering is very important to me because it allows me to give back to my community and I love being able to foster a better tomorrow for my community. I am SO into musical theatre such as HAMILTON!! Hadestown and Mamma Mia. All the classics. Although I do not have a great voice, I like to think I know how to belt. I am really into the marvel franchise and comics and am very anxious to see Doomsday this December! Once I discover something I enjoy, I become very committed to the part which reflects my loyalty :)
