Malisha Das is a third-year student studying Computer Science with focal paths in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence at the University of Virginia. She wanted to involve herself in something different in her routine of CS or engineering related classes, and found herself at HerCampus as a member of the writing and social media teams.
Her other biggest commitment at UVA is HooHacks, an organization planning Virginia's biggest hackathon, where she does outreach and networking to gain sponsors for the event.
Outside of UVA, she has picked up baking treats from scratch over the summer and occasionally doing nail art. She also has started to try different cafes and coffee shops in the Charlottesville area to see which she likes the best. Additionally, she loves trying new things, especially when it can be turned into a plan to spend time with her friends.
