My name is Makayan Jones. I am from Panama City, Florida, and I am a sophomore at the University of South Florida! I am studying psychology with the hope of becoming a doctor who can care for people with a variety of mental conditions.
I love video games, reading, baking, cooking, and advocacy. My main passions are advocating for people with mental health struggles and women's health. Personal reasons have made me incredibly passionate about women's health. It is such an important subject that is so under-researched.
I also love writing, of course! I loved writing essays on topics I got to pick in high school and have always had thoughts of starting a blog. I joined HerCampus because I thought it would help strengthen not only my writing skills, but also my love for it!
