Hello! My name is Maimouna Ndiaye. I am a sophomore majoring in Studio Art originally from Inglewood, California. Coming across the country to attend Bowie State has been a big and exciting change for me. My main interests are visual and performing arts, reading, and exploring new places. My interests definitely tie in with my favorite academic subjects- which have always been artistic and english centered classes. Being interested in art is being interested in how people around the world express themselves. Art connects us and makes us think, we can relate to the creations of others whether it be because of culture, class, race, gender, or something else. My love and passion for creativity is why I chose my major and also why I am so excited to be a member of Her Campus at Bowie State! I enjoy connecting with my peers and brainstorming new ideas with an open mindset, and I can’t wait to do just that with everyone in the Her Campus community. Offering creativity, ideas, and any help that is needed by my peers is my main goal. I am very happy to have the opportunity to contribute to creating uplifting and authentic content for women. Thank you for reading!
