Mae Thomas

I am a current sophomore at Ohio University. Though I am a first-year, my goal is to graduate in three years, my college credit during high school making this dream more achievable. I graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 2023, and during my high school years, I completed three internships. My first was in 2021 and involved organizing events for a nonprofit called NC4K. My second and third both were during 2022, one involving social media management for The Fitness Loft and magazine editing for the other, Role Model Magazine.

I was born and raised in Gahanna, Ohio. It was a simple town but there were a plethora of opportunities to become involved with. One of these activities is figure skating, which has become my favorite sport. I also enjoy volunteering, having worked with organizations including Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Columbus Metropolitan Library, Blessing Boxes, and more. My favorite hobby, however is writing. I've always been inclined to the arts, such as embroidery and photography, but writing has been something that has stuck with me throughout my entire life and I have paid more attention to.
I would love to expand on my writing abilities through Her Campus, as I am an English Creative Writing major and would like to make it my career. I also enjoy the positive, empowering energy of the company and already having passionate, creative ideas to share that align with its values. I can't wait to start my Her Campus journey!
