Madelynne Wechtel is an NC State freshman in her first year with Her Campus. While new to the scene, she is thrilled to be a part of such a great platform; she specializes in pop culture and media analysis.
Throughout high school, Madelynne was heavily involved in the arts, serving as secretary of her school's International Thespian Society chapter and participating in every theatrical production. She is also passionate about helping youth, interning at a preschool and helping local children get involved in theater. As for college, Madelynne is an intended English major with a history minor, hoping to eventually work in publishing.
Outside of academics, Madelynne grew up in the small town of Mars Hill, North Carolina, pouring herself into virtually every creative outlet. She spent fifteen years in competitive dance and still loves to stay active, along with indulging in her passion for music. In her free time, she can usually be found making art, reading history books, or playing with her beloved cat Cinder.
