Lily Grover is a student at California State University, Chico, with a strong interest in psychology and writing. She is passionate about exploring topics that connect to everyday life, including pop culture, personal experiences, current events, and the people and activities that make the Chico community unique. Through her writing, Lily hopes to share perspectives that are relatable while encouraging readers to think about familiar topics in new ways.
Outside of academics, Lily enjoys dancing, singing, traveling, reading, and trying new experiences. She considers herself empathetic, bubbly, and adventurous, and she values connecting with others and learning from the people around her. Her love for dance has been an important part of her life; in high school, she was a varsity captain of the dance team, an experience that helped her develop leadership, teamwork, and confidence.
Lily currently works as an in-home caregiver for elderly and disabled individuals, an experience she is especially proud of. Her work has strengthened her compassion and deepened her interest in understanding people and their experiences. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career as a psychologist or therapist, combining her interest in psychology with her passion for helping others.
Through this writing program, Lily hopes to further develop her writing skills, gain valuable experience and knowledge, and foster a lasting passion for writing. She is also excited to meet new people, build lifelong friendships, and become more involved in the Chico community.
