Hiya! I'm Lianne, and am a first year English Literature and Classical Studies student at Bristol University.
I was raised on the Isle of Wight and studied at Christ the King college for most of my adolescence, where I discovered my passion for Classics after studying GCSE Latin and reading at their Creative Writing Club. I also fell in love with journalism after completing Newsquest's Young Reporters Scheme, where I'd write local news stories for the County Press. I would go on write my own monthly column, where I reported on the Isle of Wight Youth Council's meetings and events.
My aim is to write as broadly as possible. As you will see, my journalistic endeavours are varied, ranging from local stories to social, cultural, and literary commentary. After I graduate, I'd like to undertake a masters in classical philology, in hopes of going into journalism and/or pedagogy.
