Born with a passion for storytelling and a love for all things entertainment, Laila Leigh is a junior Mass Media Arts major with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism at Clark Atlanta University. From a young age, she was captivated by the way media shapes culture, sparks conversations, and connects people across the world. Now, as she hones her craft at CAU, she is on a mission to make her mark in the industry as an Entertainment Correspondent.
Beyond the newsroom, Laila Leigh is actively involved in campus life. She currently serves as Miss NABJ for CAU’s National Association of Black Journalists chapter, using her platform to uplift student journalists and advocate for diversity in media. She is also a contributing writer for HER Campus, where she enjoys curating content that speaks to college women navigating academics, self-care, and career goals. Whether she’s reporting on breaking entertainment news, covering red carpets, or creating digital content, she is always looking for ways to merge her love for media and storytelling.
When she’s not writing or preparing for her next big interview, you can find Laila Leigh binge-watching the latest celebrity interviews, trying out new coffee spots, or brainstorming creative ideas for the Bryte Legacies Foundation, a nonprofit close to her heart. With big dreams and an even bigger work ethic, she is determined to carve out her space in the entertainment industry—one story at a time.
