Kyesi Battle is a sophomore Nursing major at Howard University from Miami, Florida. With aspirations of becoming a pediatric nurse, she is passionate about combining medical knowledge with compassion to provide care for children and their families. Her studies at Howard are guided by a dedication to both academic excellence and community involvement, as she works toward a career that reflects her values of service, empathy, and leadership.
Kyesi’s commitment to nursing is rooted in her extensive experience working with children prior to college. Whether through babysitting, mentoring, or volunteering, she has developed patience, attentiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility in caring for young people. These experiences reinforced her desire to specialize in pediatrics, where she can play a direct role in fostering comfort and healing for children during vulnerable times. She is determined to use her skills to advocate for families and ensure that quality healthcare is accessible, compassionate, and effective.
Outside of her studies and career goals, Kyesi enjoys spending time with her friends and exploring creative outlets. She loves baking, trying new foods, and discovering new shows and movies, which provide her with joy and balance alongside her academic pursuits.
