Kristian Mealey

My name is Kristian Mealey, and I’m a sophomore at Towson University studying
pre-nursing. I’ve always had a strong passion for healthcare and hope to specialize in direct patient care while also improving access to essential health services. My goal is to make a real difference in the medical field, especially for underserved communities who struggle to get the care they need, like health or dental insurance.

Growing up with asthma and seeing others around me face respiratory issues shaped my desire to work in healthcare. These experiences taught me the value of compassion and advocacy. Beyond academics, I love exploring topics like mental health, social media’s impact on self-esteem, and how culture shapes who we are.

I’m a giver at heart and find joy in helping others. Whether it’s through small acts of kindness or bigger projects, I want to make people feel supported and valued. When I’m not focused on school or volunteering, I love to read—it’s one of my favorite ways to learn and relax. Fashion is also a big part of how I express myself, as it helps me show who I am. Ultimately, I’m driven by a desire to connect with others, share stories, and make a positive impact wherever I can.
