Kaelyn "KK" Roundtree is a Brooklyn-born sophomore at Pace University, majoring in Communications & Media Studies and minoring in Stage Management. While this is their first year contributing to Her Campus, she's had other stints in writing for her High School Newspaper and her own personal blog. KK is an everyman when it comes to writing: from Sabrina Carpenter to Minecraft, from Minecraft to Broadway, from Broadway to Taylor Swift, and from Taylor Swift to anything! You name it, KK can write it!
KK is what you call a professional fangirl: her connections and hyperfixations always end up turning into her work! Just as seriously as she takes school, KK runs a Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift fanpage on Twitter {1.3K Followers}. From there, she helped to mod fun games on an influential game hub account as well as serving as the writer of the group's newspaper! They also serve as a club member on Pace University's Setterboxd, "an inclusive and relaxed community where students can explore their passion for cinema, gain a deeper appreciation for film, develop skills in critical analysis and media literacy, and learn how to write reviews on Letterboxd".
Though being a professional fangirl is fun, sometimes KK drops the professionalism! They're a huge fan of Taylor Swift and her 5th album 1989, which was released (twice if you count Taylor's Version!) on their birthday and it's not lost on them that the album is set in NYC as well! This is a fact that they unprofessionally brag about far too often! Where her Taylor Swift obsession starts, her Sabrina Carpenter obsession follows: KK would go as far to say that Sabrina Carpenter saved her life! She has been sent things by her team, made countless moodboards, and is currently on a journey to re-listen to all of her discography! Other artists she loves are Hayley Williams, The Crane Wives, Olivia Rodrigo, Nat "King" Cole, C418, and more! KK is also a big fan of anything acted/written creatively: they love Minecraft youtubers who have lore in the same way that they love reading a script/seeing a show on Broadway! From writing on Her Campus to helping a show run smoothly as a stage manager, KK thinks that all creativity is good creativity. She wants to help you see that creative vision and can't wait to share hers with you!
