Katie Kennison

Katie Kennison is a social/video media manager at the Her Campus Baylor chapter. She collaborates with others to create engaging and creative social media posts that other Her Campus members and followers can enjoy. Beyond Her Campus, Katie Kennison works for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation for Fort Cavazos as a Lead Lifeguard manager responsible for overseeing the safety and operations of a swimming facility or beach. In her role, she ensures that all lifeguards are well-trained and vigilant, maintaining high standards of safety for swimmers and patrons. She conducts regular drills and evaluations to ensure her team is prepared for emergencies, develops and enforces safety procedures, including risk assessments and emergency response plans, Engages with patrons, addresses concerns, provides education on water safety, and monitors the cleanliness and maintenance of the swimming area, and ensures it meets health and safety regulations.
Katie is a freshman at Baylor majoring in communications with a minor in public relations. In her free time, she loves running, hiking, and hitting the gym to lift weights, finding joy in staying active and pushing her limits. Her love for animals shines through as she often volunteers at local shelters, where she enjoys spending time with furry friends. Additionally, Katie has a keen eye for photography, capturing the beauty of nature and candid moments with her loved ones. Whether she's out on a run, lifting weights, caring for animals, or snapping photos, Katie embraces each day with enthusiasm and a creative spirit.
