Katherine is a Community Writer and Business Insider for the Her Campus at NYU chapter, where she focuses on bridging the gap between collegiate life and professional finance. Her primary role involves writing insightful articles on topics ranging from campus resources and career planning to complex financial news simplified for a student audience. As a Business Insider, she helps the chapter identify and pitch relevant partnership opportunities, connecting the editorial content with strategic outreach. Her expertise is supported by her academic focus as a current Graduate student at NYU’s School of Professional Studies, where she is pursuing a degree in Public Relations with a specialization in the Division of Business.
Katherine is building a robust background in both communications and finance. She is an alumna of the University of Scranton, where she graduated three years ago. During her undergraduate career, she was an active member of the Her Campus chapter there, serving as a Community Writer and contributing to the marketing team. She recently gained real-world professional experience working in the Town of Easthampton Town Hall finance department, specifically within Human Resources, where she handled administrative and financial support tasks over the summer. This experience, combined with her current focus on studying for her SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) exam, demonstrates her clear dedication to a future career in a financial services company.
