Katelyn is a member and contributing writer for Her Campus chapter at CU Boulder. Majoring in journalism with a minor in cultural anthropology, Katelyn is a senior seeking to capture compelling stories that resonate with people. Originally from Chicago, Katelyn moved West to the Rockies in search of mountain culture. When she's not off on a journalistic endeavor, she's likely trail running in the mountains, practicing triathlon or climbing some rocks :)
Katelyn's writing often coincides with her interests in travel, endurance sports and culture. She has a deep love for visual storytelling, so capturing a piece through the lens of a camera is her speciality. Her dream is to become an ethnographic journalist with a beat in documentary reporting. Her current obsessions include jewelry hunting (specifically for lapis and turquoise stone rings), training with the CU Triathlon team and planning her next ultra-trail marathon gals trip!
