Alabama '27

I am a senior at The University of Alabama majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science on the Pre-Law track. I am originally from Dothan, Alabama, and I am proud to be a first-generation college student and an Alabama REACH Scholar. My personal experiences have shaped my passion for advocacy, public service, and creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and heard.

Outside of the classroom, I stay involved through leadership, service, and mentoring. I serve as the Director of Events for Her Campus at Alabama, where I help transform creative ideas into events that bring our members together and celebrate women. I am also an ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences, a REACH mentor, and a member of several pre-law and leadership organizations. Professionally, I have worked at a law firm and completed a congressional internship in Washington, D.C., with Congressman Shomari Figures. These experiences have strengthened my interest in law, government, and policies that affect underrepresented communities.

After graduation, I plan to move to Washington, D.C., gain more professional experience, and eventually attend Howard University School of Law. My ultimate goal is to become a civil rights attorney and use my career to advocate for people whose experiences and voices are often overlooked.
When I am not balancing classes, work, and campus involvement, I enjoy reading, watching television shows, trying new recipes, traveling, and giving myself time to recharge. Through Her Campus, I hope to share honest and relatable stories while helping create a community where women feel comfortable being themselves, learning from one another, and celebrating every stage of life.
