Hii, my name is Karen Martinez and I am a freshman at UC Davis majoring in Psychology. I am a first generation Latina student from SoCal and I am passionate about empowering young women and creating a positive and nurturing experiences for aspiring women as myself.
I have been involved in various creative extracurriculars. Such as managing three club social media accounts during my high school years. Volunteering at different city ran events for children. Ranging from arts and crafts activities to holiday festivities promoting union. I was president of a community service club as well as community liaison for a club called Girl's League. Which sparked my passion for feminine upliftment, unity, and women excellence.
My overall mission is to give back to those around me through my experiences, skills, and educational development. Coming from a low income predominantly Hispanic community has taught me that my growth has no bounds. Through this I want to help empower other women who share the same values and morals, and share a journey on seeking personal improvement.
