My name is Kara and I am a Theatre Technology and Design student at West Virginia University, currently studying in the heart of Morgantown. My world is built behind the scenes, where stories come to life through lighting, sound, sets, and the magic of stage management. I’ve always believed that the best kind of art doesn’t ask for the spotlight, instead it builds it.
Originally from Maryland, I found my calling early in the quiet chaos backstage. That passion led me to earn state recognition for stage management at the Maryland Thespian Festival—an achievement that continues to inspire my creative journey today.
When I’m not immersed in cue sheets, rigging plans, or script notes, you can find me doing something a little more off-script: curled up with a good book, crocheting something cozy, getting lost in music, or exploring the outdoors. Whether I’m designing a scene or hiking a trail, I’m always looking for stories, either to tell or to live.
