Kaitlyn Sanchez

Hi! I’m Katie, a freshman at the University of Florida majoring in Health Science with a specialization in Applied Neuroscience. I’m originally from Miami, Florida, and I have roots in Spain, Lebanon, Venezuela, and Cuba.

I graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where I swam, founded a service club, and made some of my closest friends. Outside of school, I love going to the gym, cooking, and listening to Billie Eilish and Lizzy McAlpine. I’m also very guilty of the daily doomscroll, usually while eating lunch and wishing it were sushi. I miss my dog, Bailey, so much that I bought a pillow from Goodwill that (almost) looks identical to him. I also really miss being able to go to the beach anytime I needed to clear my head.

My passion for editing started back in middle school, thanks to an ELA teacher who drilled grammar rules into my brain. Now, I get to edit fun, creative blog posts instead of five-paragraph essays. Let’s be real: gator girls make the best writers!
