Kailey Topping

Kailey Topping is an undergraduate student at California State University, Chico, where she is majoring in English and double minoring in creative writing and theatre arts. She also works in the University Communications office as an editorial assistant, editing newsletters and e-blasts, and writing articles for Chico State Today. She's involved in multiple clubs on campus, including the Theatre Arts Club, the Original Works Club, Momentum (the dance club), and the Digital Filmmakers Guild.

Kailey was born and raised in the Bay Area. She says she's from San Jose, but she's actually from Los Gatos. No one really knows where that is, though. She loves her hometown but loves Chico and college just as much!

Kailey also loves writing, and while she does a lot of work in journalism, creative writing is her personal favorite. She recently finished writing a full-length play that she is soon planning to direct, and is always jotting down short story ideas that she can use in the future. She's excited to be a part of the team and bring more of her ideas to the page, well, the digital page, she supposes, and work with fellow writers.
