Kailey Breland

Kailey Breland is a driven Legal Communications major at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she maintains a 3.9 GPA and demonstrates a deep commitment to leadership, advocacy, and service. As a recipient of the Howard University Leadership Scholarship, the TMCF JP Morgan/Chase Scholarship, and the Marcus Brown Scholarship, Kailey exemplifies academic excellence and community engagement.

Kailey is deeply passionate about law and its power to promote equity and justice. Her academic and extracurricular pursuits reflect her dedication to using communication as a tool for legal advocacy and social change. As a Senior Counselor at WinShape Camps for Girls, she led diverse groups of campers, fostering growth, confidence, and collaboration in an inclusive environment. She also developed leadership and customer service skills as a Shift Leader at Yogli Mogli Frozen Yogurt, where she oversaw daily operations and supported team performance.

Beyond the classroom and workplace, Kailey mentors incarcerated youth through Youth Justice Advocates, contributes to event planning and outreach with Her Campus Magazine at Howard University, and participates in Alternative Spring Break initiatives to serve underprivileged communities across the country. With a strong foundation in communication, leadership, advocacy and an unwavering passion for law Kailey aspires to pursue a career that amplifies underrepresented voices and drives meaningful social impact.
