Julia Horowitz is a first-year Communication Studies major in the College of Liberal Arts at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is passionate about marketing strategies, event planning, and public relations. In college, she hopes to gain experience through internships and leadership roles in student organizations.
Julia was born and raised in the Palo Alto area of the Bay Area.
Growing up, she enjoyed going to the beach with friends, taking long walks, trying new workout classes, shopping at boutiques and thrift stores, and spending time with her family. Julia attended Design Tech High School, where she participated in volunteer clubs, internship programs, the volleyball team, and a cultural exchange program.
In San Luis Obispo, she plans to continue pursuing her passions for philanthropy and real-world academic experiences. Outside of academics, she enjoys hiking, exploring downtown, and discovering new activities around the community. As she begins her college journey, Julia is excited to build meaningful connections with peers, professors, and community members, exploring her interests, and gaining many experiences that will shape her future career.
