My name is Jobi Wittman and I will be covering Campus Life & News for Temple Universities chapter of Her Campus! I am currently a Freshmen studying Political Science. I am from Dodgeville, Wisconsin but I am living In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for college. am passionate about current events reporting and hope to make a career out of it one day. Besides my interests in current events and writing, I enjoy art, reading, blind boxes, trying new foods, and getting to know those around me.
I chose to write for Her Campus because it pertains to communities that I tend to associate with: girls, gays, and theys. Being able to share my writings with groups of people I enjoy interacting with is great because it removes some of the fear of judgement. It also allows for me to connect with more people in those communities. Like I said before I enjoy meeting new people, and this is a great opportunity to do just that.
As I also said before, I enjoy art, reading, blind boxes, and trying new foods. I would consider myself to be an interdisciplinary artist, but I really enjoy printmaking and working with oil pastels. Reading is something I enjoy because it exposes me to new language and helps me enhance my own writing. My favorite blind boxes to open are Smiskis and anything that is a miniature version of an inanimate object. Trying new foods is fun for me because it is a great way to learn about others. Food is something that is so important to many cultures, and getting to know a part of someones culture is getting to know a part of them.
