My name is Jada Mendez, and I am a junior psychology major from Northern Virginia. I currently attend James Madison University. I love writing and served as the Layout and Design Editor for my high school’s newspaper. Alongside this role, I wrote countless articles and had pieces published in my hometown’s local newspaper. I love writing about topics related to mental health, self-care, and ones that bring a positive light to current events. I joined HerCampus at JMU because I wanted to connect back to this piece of me that I have distanced myself from since coming to college. I am so excited to join and leave my mark on this chapter!
In my free time, I love to run, spend time with friends, grab coffee, and try new restaurants. I love exploring new cities. I am a part of InterVarsity Christian Ministry at JMU and serve as a small group leader. Alongside this organization, I am a member of JMU Club Cross Country, Morgan’s Message, and JMU SHRM.
