I'm Isabela! I'm a Media Arts major at the University of South Carolina. I'm a sophomore who loves making physical art in the form of sculpting, crochet, and drawing, and enjoys traveling and seeing the beauty of the world around me. I am the former vice president of an on campus organization meant to help women and members of the LGBTQ+ community spark friendship and engage in activities based off their interests, like animation, gaming, and art.
Since then, I have created my own personal community and now host my own events, meant to spark conversations about inclusivity, acceptance, and activism. I am also assisting in the founding of FUTURE, or Friends United: Uplifting, Transforming, Resolving, and Educating, a new student organization aimed at benefiting our campus and the community, and giving all of our members a platform to have their voices be heard.
As a new member of Her Campus, I want to write articles that make readers feel seen and heard. I wish to shine a light on the artist community and topics that may be less commonly seen in editorial writing. I'm very excited to see what my fellow writers come up with as well!
