Irene John is a writer at the HerCampus Texas chapter, and a freshman studying Sociology and Government as part of the University of Texas at Austin's Liberal Arts Honors program. She is pursuing two minors in Law, Justice, and Society and Asian American Studies on a pre-law/pre-grad track. Irene looks forward to writing about political issues, niche interests, and local news through HerCampus.
Beyond HerCampus, Irene is an Editor for the Undergraduate Law Journal for Minority Women, and is part of various organizations, including the Liberal Arts Honors Student Council, Texas Pre-Law Honor Society, Liberal Arts Committee for Academic Affairs, and the Texas Sociological Association. She also works as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Children's Research Center's Language Development Lab.
In her free time, Irene enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, watching NBC sitcoms, and playing video games. She is so excited to be part of HerCampus!
