My name is Guiliana Maiese, and I am currently a nursing student at Rowan University. I chose to pursue nursing because I have an interest in healthcare and want to develop the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Nursing school has helped me become more responsible, organized, and confident while strengthening my communication and critical-thinking skills. I am excited to continue learning and growing as I work toward my future career in nursing.
Outside of school, my pets are a very important part of my life. I have two cats, Zoe and Kaycee, and a dog named Bruce. Each of them has their own personality, and I love spending time with them. Bruce has especially contributed to my love for dogs, and I have always loved bigger dogs. I consider Zoe, Kaycee, and Bruce to be part of my family. I also love taking pictures, especially with a digital camera. I enjoy photographing my friends, family, pets, and everyday moments because it allows me to capture memories that I can look back on. Another hobby I enjoy is playing volleyball. I love being active and having fun while working together with teammates. Volleyball has taught me the importance of communication, teamwork, and dedication.
As I continue through college, I hope to grow both personally and professionally. My goal is to become a caring, knowledgeable, and dependable nurse who can make a positive impact on the lives of my patients. Although nursing is an important part of my future, I also want to continue making time for the things I love. Spending time with my pets, taking pictures, playing volleyball, and being with my friends and family help make my life enjoyable and balanced. I look forward to the experiences ahead and to continuing to learn and grow throughout my education and future career.
