I am currently a Senior at San Diego State University (SDSU) majoring in Communication with a minor in Latin American Studies. Before attending SDSU, I went to community college for my first two years back home in Sacramento, California where I earned my Associate's in English, from which I transferred.
When I transferred from community college, I found that I most enjoyed how and why humans communicate, especially through various mediums like art, fashion, literature, etc. which prompted me to change my major once I moved to San Diego. I find my best writing typically comes from what I am most passionate about at the moment, whether it was classic literature when I was an English major or now analyzing how fashion acts as a form of communication.

I am involved in two other student organizations on campus like my sorority, where I help recruit, and The Look, an art, fashion, and design magazine, which I write, do makeup, and style photoshoots for. In addition to my on-campus involvements, I also like to do event makeup on the side, which is often where I feel most inspired and motivated to create! I have also been trying to teach myself how to sew during breaks, so I can begin to make my own pieces and potentially have my own brand! Overall, I love using art to express myself whether it’s my thoughts and opinions through writing or how I’m feeling through clothing and makeup!
