I am a junior at Rowan University majoring in Public Relations with minors in social media content and strategies, Special Events Communication, and Strategic Communication. Through my classes, I have developed an interest in public relations, advertising, social media, and design. I enjoy learning how brands communicate with their audiences and how creative ideas can be turned into effective content. I have also gained experience using Adobe InDesign to create layouts and advertisements, which has helped me build my creative and design skills. My education at Rowan has given me a strong foundation in communication while allowing me to explore different areas that I may want to pursue in the future.
Professionally, I am interested in pursuing a career in public relations, fashion, social media, or event planning. I especially enjoy the creative and organizational side of events and would love to combine my PR background with wedding and event planning. I am currently gaining hands-on experience through a wedding event planning internship, where I help with wedding planning and complete office tasks. I also have experience as a Social Media Intern at Woke Media, a PR firm, where I assist with social media, content planning, research, and other projects. These experiences have helped me learn more about the communications industry and have given me the opportunity to apply what I learn in the classroom to real-world projects.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy fashion, social media, design, photography, and spending time with my friends and family. I am especially interested in fashion trends, event ideas, and creative projects that allow me to express my personality. I also enjoy exploring new places, attending events, and keeping up with current trends on social media. In the future, I hope to live and work in New York City and build a career that combines my interests in PR, creativity, fashion, social media, and events. I am excited to continue gaining experience, building my portfolio, and discovering the specific career path that is the best fit for me.
