Hello, I am Fatima Rashed, a current junior at Virginia Commonwealth University. My major is health services, and my minor is practical AI. I am aspiring to break into healthcare delivery, particularly, building a career in hospital administration and/or informatics. The healthcare industry is rapidly evolving and adapting to new innovations, which I am interested in partaking in through the development of my career.
I pursued this editorial opportunity with the HerCampus organization at VCU because I am interested in strengthening my writing proficiency skills through creative and entertaining methods of writing. I was a writing center consultant in high school, and was involved in differing English and communication opportunities. Upon finding out about HerCampus, I decided to take this chance to connect back to interests I have always enjoyed.
I am currently employed as a hostess at a senior living facility, and I am a medical receptionist volunteer. I am also involved in other organizations at VCU such as the Muslim Students in Business. Aside from an educational and professional aspect; I enjoy reading, painting, and working out. I am always seeking chances to continue practicing these fun activities along with my educational and professional goals.
