I'm currently a freshman at New York University studying Journalism and International Relations. I love to write, read, paint, go on walks, travel, and spend time outside or with family and friends. I often find myself too caught up with school to actually do any of these things so I love using vacations to catch up on hobbies and such activities.
When I graduate I hope to go into the journalism field, specifically international and foreign news and eventually work as a foreign correspondent in another country and travel around while reporting for a news outlet. My dream would be to live in London at some point, as I previously dreamed about living in New York.
I can be extremely nit-picky and detail-oriented, often letting the perfectionist inside get the best of me, but I am very driven by goals. I take pride in having a plan and idea of where I want to end up, and working as best I can to get there. The most prevalent example would be getting to NYU, since I had this goal almost all throughout high school, and every decision I made was geared towards getting into this university. I have worked a few jobs, including two years as a swim instructor and lifeguard, a year and a half at Goldfish Swim School, and the remaining time as a private instructor coordinating days with individual families. Other than that, I worked for two years in my high school newspaper, The Mountie Spectrum, both as a Writer and one as a layout and design Editor, and I have been working with NYU’s student newspaper, Washington Square News, since September as a contributing writer.
