Erica N. Arocho Pérez is a new writer for Her Campus chapter at UPRM. She is currently a senior at Colegio Mayagüez, studying psychology. Beyond her academic journey, she aspires to pursue a career has a Speech Language Pathologist.
She is passionate about working with children; she believes they have so much to teach us, and through her future career, she hopes to help them in many ways. She also plans to become a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the future. She is committed to advocating for the normalization of mental health conversations and raising awareness to inform and help people.
Outside of Her Campus, she serves as Social Media Manager for both The International Honor Society in Psychology (Psi Chi) and Organization for Development in Neuroscience (NeuroRUM).
Beyond academics, Erica loves reading and watching movies. Among her favorites, Harry Potter stands out above the rest; she has felt a special connection to that magical world since she was young. She loves listening to music and discovering new artists—favorites include Harry Styles, 5 Seconds of Summer, and CAS. She enjoys finding new coffee shops; her Instagram feed looks like a collection of reviews for the places she visits. She is coffee, matcha, and tea lover. She enjoys Pilates, yoga, running, and loves outdoor activities. Also, Erica on the weekends works as a stylist at a beauty salon.
She has many aspirations and dreams she hopes to fulfill. Every day, Erica works to become the person she wants to be, and she hopes you can hear her voice and the things she loves through her articles.
