I'm a fourth-year UC Davis student double majoring in Communication and Chicano Studies with a passion for storytelling and journalism. I found my love for words growing up reading print newspaper alongside my dad and making homemade birthday cards for my loved ones.
A firm believer that human connection is one of the most vital pillars to our ever-changing social landscape, I hope to use writing as a way to keep that pillar standing. There is so much power in self-expression and in creating space for people to share their stories and voice.
After graduation, I aspire to pursue a career in sports journalism and broadcasting, covering the narratives of people from all walks of life who persevere, defy the odds, and make their dreams their reality. I also hope to one day cover a game for each of my little sisters who are both current soccer players, because then I'll have made it :)
