Hi, my name is Ella. I love being on the social media team for Her Campus at Texas State! I'm currently studying Computer Science with a focus on Software Development and Data Analytics, which is definitely keeping me on my toes. I genuinely enjoy the challenge behind coding and collaborating with others to create super fun projects!
In addition to my STEM pursuits, I have a strong background in speech and debate! I serve as a judge for UIL and TFA debate competitions. I have a particular love for Cross Examination debate, but I have also spent years getting into Congressional debate, Lincoln-Douglas, and Extemporaneous Speaking. It's incredibly rewarding to give feedback to competitors and help them grow through their debate journey! I take pride in getting to be a judge for the UIL State Tournament last year, where I got to judge in the out rounds!
A little about me: I'm from Joshua, Texas, which is just south of Fort Worth. I graduated high school in May of 2024 and have been LOVING the college experience so far. I'm really into hiking, thrifting cool pieces for my apartment, binge-watching TV, and scrapbooking! Scrapbooking is such a fun way to capture my memories in a physical form. Travelling has always been a huge part of my life, and Ireland holds a special place in my heart as my favorite place I've been to so far. I can't wait to see what my future holds with Her Campus!
