Hi, my name is Diya, and I’m majoring in Systems Engineering and Design with a minor in Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, and I’ve enjoyed creating new experiences and building connections here on campus.
In addition to my coursework, I’m actively involved in several organizations that allow me to learn, collaborate, and grow outside of the classroom. I’m a member of Illini Solar Car, where I work on the marketing team. I’m also part of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, which gives me the chance to connect with peers who share similar interests and goals. On top of that, I serve on the Expo Committee for Engineering Council, helping organize events that put on the career fair and bring the engineering community together.
Outside of academics and involvement, I spend my free time reading, watching Formula One, and traveling whenever I can. I love discovering new places and cultures, and I also value the simple moments of hanging out with friends and exploring campus life.
I joined Her Campus because it’s a creative space to share ideas, highlight stories, and connect with others in a meaningful way. I’m excited to contribute to a platform that values community and authenticity.
