My name is Dariana Breto and I'm a student at the University of Florida. I was born and raised in Miami, and it has shaped a lot of who I am. From my appreciation for culture and community to my drive to stay involved, these influences have shaped both who I am and how I show up in the spaces I’m part of. At UF, I’ve loved finding organizations and people that allow me to truly be myself. I’m especially drawn to opportunities that center around media, content creation, and sports.
Golf has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing when I was seven years old and spent six years on my high school varsity golf team, serving as captain and earning multiple competitive honors along the way. Through the sport, I learned discipline, resilience, and how to stay confident under pressure. Beyond competing, I also ran a golf-focused social media page, where I was able to inform other students on the achievements of our golf team.
Outside of golf, I love film and photography and enjoy exploring visual storytelling in different forms. I also enjoy baking, which has become one of my favorite ways to unwind and connect with my family. As the oldest sister, I naturally take on a leadership role, offering support and guidance to my younger siblings. That responsibility has shaped how I lead, communicate, and show up for others.
