Hi! My name is Daniela Hallack, and I’m a sophomore at the University of Michigan. I’m majoring in political science and communications, and I’m super interested in how politics and media intersect. I’m originally from Dallas, Texas, so I’ve definitely been exposed to a wide range of ideas and perspectives. At Michigan, I’ve had the opportunity to take so many cool classes, one being the history of Bob Dylan where we actually got to go to his concert in Detroit!
Outside of school, I love reading, journaling, going to SoulCycle, and getting boba with my friends. I also love to volunteer at different organizations. In high school I worked with a domestic abuse shelter and an organization focused on education in underprivileged communities. I also interned for a Congresswoman in high school which showed me some tangible impact through legislation that can be made. I’m excited to write about college life and wellness, but also culture and current events that impact our life today.
Usually you can find me listening to Bob Dylan and Joan Baez on a walk around Ann Arbor, or trying a new matcha shop. I’m a huge foodie and fan of travel, so whenever I can, I’m probably on a plane or at a restaurant. I’m so excited to get to writing!
