Hi! I’m Danasia Carrington, an Information Technology major at Old Dominion University, currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation in May 2027. I chose IT because I genuinely enjoy solving problems, learning how systems work, and helping others through the power of technology. I’m passionate about staying curious and constantly finding new ways to grow, both personally and professionally.
Beyond tech, I’m a creative at heart. I’m the founder of Art Within Focus, my personal photography brand that allows me to capture meaningful moments and tell powerful visual stories. Whether I’m behind the lens or editing a concept shoot, photography is one of the ways I stay connected to the world around me. It fuels my creativity and pushes me to see beauty in the details others might overlook.
I’m also deeply involved in leadership and empowerment-focused communities. I’m a member of QUEENIN' YOU, The Summit, and other student organizations that support women, professional development, and purpose-driven collaboration. I started a digital storytelling collective called Vivid Collectives to work with other creatives and uplift each other's talents.
Through Her Campus, I hope to inspire, empower, and create meaningful content while continuing to grow as a student, storyteller, and tech lover.
